“Every single life matters, equally and infinitely.”
-David Isay, founder of Storycorps
Most of the time, “history” is about the richest, most powerful people on the planet at any given time. But most of us (by definition) are not the richest, most powerful people on the planet. But the stories collected here are from the people in our community: the ones who ride next to us on the bus, who we see at the store, who we say hello to every day. This project is about the histories that we don’t hear about, and the stories that don’t get recorded. It’s about our histories, and the stories that make up our communities.

Pre-Interview Process
Before we interviewed the person of our choice, we had to learn about good and bad examples of interviews. We got to practice with our partners and present what we though were qualities of a good interview. We learned about the body language and how to make sure that the person you are interviewing is comfortable. Along with learning body language we also learned what were good questions to ask and what would give you more stories.

Reflection
I interviewed my mom because I knew that she had a different experiance than me growing up. With that different experience she always gets to tell me childhood stories. Like how she would have to walk home and the bridge that she had to cross. For my mom to be interviewed by me it was kinda just like a normal conversation. My dad also had a different experience then me and my mom so it would be nice to have a conversation with him.
