Poems
For the poems, we first were given a partner. With that partner we then had to interview them so that we could learn more about them. Having interviewed our partner we had to write a poem about them.
Interview with Peter Roche My interview with Peter was a lot about his family and how they are a big part of his life and all that they had done for him. So chose to write about them and some of the memories he had with them.

Self PortraitFor my self portrait I am holding one picture of me covering my face because I don't always like to show my face but still be in the picture. So I am holding a picture that was taken with my Instax. I really like my Instax because I like to take pictures and then be able to hang them up around places in my room.

Poem about MarianaBy Peter Roche
He misses her soccer game,
Leaving a daughter who misses her father, And a father who misses his daughter, Even though it pains him it’s a necessary sacrifice, But she’s able to understand everything has it’s price. Fallen with blood on his hands, Worried because he won’t be able to meet his boss's demands, Not even worried about his own health, He justs wants his family to have wealth, Mariana the girl whose inspired, Understands her father’s work is required, And with the responsibilities she acquired, No doubt she will end up being admired. Mariana who dreams of college, Her drive is something you have to acknowledge, But don’t forget her struggle, It’s like survival in the jungle. Mariana the middle child, With a brother that gets a bit wild, While emotions that have compiled, Cause things to be said that are far from mild. Mariana in the middle, With her brother things tend to heat up like a griddle, It’s not a fight it’s a war, Insults you just can’t ignore, And then bam... with the slam of a door, The fight is no more. But on the field, No raging feelings are revealed, With the pass of the ball, And a smile far from small, It’s like nothing had happened at all. With her family brought together, By a game of soccer to bond, On a day with perfect weather, Her happiness is passed the sky and beyond. |
